General rules for uploading files

Created by Support Service, Modified on Tue, 13 Jun, 2023 at 10:21 AM by Support Service

This instruction only applies to the Digital Marketplace section of the PicsForDesign.com digital store.

PLEASE read the instructions carefully, everything written is designed to help you avoid errors and upload your items quickly and without the need for making changes in the future.

General rules for uploading files

A file for sale is uploaded as a ZIP archive containing previews and folders with elements.

The preview size is 825 x 550 px (minimum 750 px in width). If the image size is kept square, there will be white bars on the sides of the preview on the website.

The archive previews will be shown in the catalog in alphabetical order, please keep this in when naming the previews. The main preview MUST showcase the entire set being offered. For the archive, use at least 3 previews. It is allowed to use mockups to showcase the design on physical media. For instance, how to use an image from the category to print on a T-shirt/mug.
You can read more about how to create previews further down.

All files and the archive must not contain SPACES in the names, only underscores are allowed, otherwise the archive will not load and you will see an error.

When first opening an archive, a preview and folders should open. If only the folder is visible on the first click that needs to be clicked again to access the previews and other elements, the archive will not upload. Additional elements can be added to a separate folder within the archive so they do not mix with the preview.

Links to personal websites, blogs, other stores, etc. are NOT ALLOWED anywhere on the layers or in the archive! It is also FORBIDDEN to insert links in the Description in the item card.

The source file in psd format must have a resolution of 300 dpi.

✧ For the convenience of customers, please name layers in a way that makes it clear what they are. Please use ENGLISH. Multi-layered vector source files are an exception, so for those, you can give names to the folders.

The archive is uploaded to PFD Digital Marketplace - Products, after which you need to click on EDIT and fill in the fields. It's crucial to select the right category from the drop-down list to get the item into the right catalog. There is currently a limit on the archive size - 3 MB minimum and 300 MB maximum.

After pressing Add to catalog, the item will show in the catalog within 5-10 minutes.

In the Description field, please make sure to include the following:

- What the archive contains, which files are included.

- File Types Included (format types), including the size of the images, if intended for printing.

Or on a separate line

- Size (in px or mm). Please do not need to specify the size of the preview.

- Compatibility with editing programs

Additionally:

- Description of how this image could be used.

It's also important to provide relevant tags. Each tag must be followed by a comma and a space. The maximum number of tags for each product is 50 words. Please make sure to use specific terms to describe the product.

It is FORBIDDEN to upload works created using a neural network / generated using Artificial Intelligence (hereinafter AI).
There is a separate category only for AI graphics.

We have a limit on the number of items uploaded per 1 day - 5 maximum.

When adding an item, there is an additional field for inserting the ID of a YouTube video. Currently, the video itself is not displayed anywhere. At the next website update, the video will be displayed in the item card preview. The video can show the process of creating an image or how it can be used.

Each category comes with instructions of its own.

▶ Here are the rules regarding AI for both sections. Please read this instruction carefully.

The current rules were updated in May 2023 due to a significant amount of AI graphics. The administration reserves the right to amend or tighten the rules, notifying users of any changes.

Ignorance of the rules does not exempt from responsibility.

1. All sellers offering AI-generated content as part of their product must have all the rights for them, (which is possible for paid subscription to an AI service) AND make sure the content used is available under the Creative Commons License at the very least. It is important to use your own creations, and not those of others.

2. AI-generated images are not allowed for items in categories PSP Tubes, Start and Poser Tubes.

3. In the Scrap-kits catalog, AI graphics are allowed. The limit of permissible AI elements should not exceed 25% of the total number of elements and such elements should be placed in a separate folder indicating that these are AI elements. Otherwise, such kits should be placed in the category "AI Scrap kits".

4. For both sections (Taggers' Store and Digital Marketplace) it is forbidden to upload illustrations with people's faces generated in AI. Images of animals with clear facial features should not be used.

5. Product description for category AI Graphic, Scrap kits and Resale must state clearly and unequivocally that the product includes AI-generated content. This information must also be visible on the previews and clearly stated in the included TOU.

6. It is prohibited to use commercial licenses CU Extended and CU Unlimited for AI illustrations for the AI Graphic category.

7. All illustrations previously uploaded to the Taggers' Store and Digital Marketplace sections must be moved to the corresponding AI Graphics category.

6. In case of any violations regarding the AI topic, the card can be removed from the catalog. We will personally notify violators about this.

8. If any violations related to AI are detected, the card will be removed from the catalog. We will personally notify the violators. If a seller repeatedly violates the rules, their access to the Digital Marketplace will be blocked.

Examples of good previews (of the whole card):

On the main preview shows all the objects/backgrounds in the archive.

On the other previews show characters/objects in enlarged form and images with mockups, e.g., how illustrations can be used on physical goods.

How not to do it:

Изображение взято с веб-сайта freepik

Изображение взято с веб-сайта freepik

bad example is that the main preview shows one object. Even if there is only 1 file in the entire archive, find a way to decorate the preview (you are artists after all!). For example, add texts to the preview indicating what is included in the archive or add a background (which should also be added to the archive). Or show the object directly on the mockup.

Don't insert square previews, otherwise part of the illustration will go beyond the boundaries of a wide preview. White stripes on the sides spoil the look of the card. If you can't find a suitable background, use a colored background, or gradient, and indicate that the background is not included in the archive.
